Thomas has a large cloth trading business, importing nearly 3/4´s of all the cloth into Bodstonia and exporting the same percentage of furs and skins abroad. They have also a considerable cotton farm.
Melanie (18) is a very outgoing young lady, whose interests revolve mainly around horses, two of which she owns herself.. This equine interest has brought her into contact and the notice of Bradley Ashyt. They are well matched although no proposal of marriage has been made.
She also shoots for a hobby, can handle a rapier quite well and plays cards.

The wedding is scheduled to take place in the May of next year...that is if their new house will be finished by then.

Super good job. The background stage-drops are just a delight. The sisters look like twins to me, though they are not.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jay.
DeleteThe Turse sisters do have similar faces..the noses, that´s why they ended up as sisters. They also have an arrogant look..Harmonie a bit colder than her outgoing sister.
Great characters and great portraits!

Thanks Jean-Louis..
DeleteI linked yesterday..I thought it hadn´t worked and I was going to ask Jeff why but then saw it had linked :-D
very nice work! the incussion of so many civilians will be great! can you imagine the plots creatible if there was a trajic invasion, how would their gallent husbands save their damsals in distress from the savage natives??? Yes I know I am melodramatic when it comes to these theings, I would probably make a soap opera with these figs. So I stick to moderns and medievals to avoid this sort of thing, I must maintain my manly outward appearence to uphold my honor and dignity, Oh crap there I go again. curse you the 18th century!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gowan.
DeleteI´m going to have to put the brake on creating new civilian characters soon and write it all down before I loose track of whose who and doing what with whom. I´ve got 100´s of story lines in my head but getting them all sorted out and making sense is taking time..and painting enough of the bodstonians to keep up with the plot lines is proving difficult. The same thing can be done with medievals..no problem..just take away the guns and tricorns.
take away the tricorns and it wont be so fun... for medievals would be interesting. I wonder what donstonia in the 21st century would be like??? do they keep the tricorns? that would be awsome.
DeleteLovely characters and well photographed - have enjoyed looking back over the previous posts in your blog.

Amazing work! The stories behind the characters are very imaginative and entertaining. BTW Paul, where would I find these figures, or better yet through what distributor(s)?
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris.
